Education

Since the beginning of his career Balázs Hornyák has thought talented students in various music schools in Hungary and been involved in international education projects. He helped many of his students to start a career in music. He is glad having the opportunity to mentor his former students as well. Many of them were awarded in regional and national competitions.

Research

Balázs started to explore new fields of education after he had worked and toured for several years as a flute player. Talent development has always been of his interests. As a researcher in the Hungarian Genius Program he visited Finland, Ireland and UK to collect best practices and publish them for professionals working in the field of gifted education. In 2015, he has been a presenter at WCGTC world conference in Odense, Denmark giving the only presentation on musical talent.

Talent support programme

Balázs Hornyák is the project manager of a talent support programme which was launched by Chamber Academy Association. Its members are renowned music professionals and artists working in various fields of music. The main aim of the organization is to provide adequate assistance to talented young musicians to fulfil their potential. It organizes cultural activities, masterclasses and concerts and it runs a mentorship program for musical talents.
